Solutions for property managers with a data center

Iron Flag Power Systems is one of the only demolition companies in the United States who actually pays property managers to remove their equipment and white box their space.

You're a property manager or commercial real estate investor and the previous tenants of your new facility left behind a mess: server racks, raised flooring, electrical equipment, and more.  As an accidental owner of a data center, you might assume that this equipment is going to cost a lot to remove.  However, Iron Flag Power Systems turns this idea on its head.

Believe it or not, your equipment may still have value.  As we discussed in our article, "Stop Paying To Decommission Your Data Center", you may be sitting on an asset instead of an expense.  In other words, we're able to extract the value out of the equipment and use that to offset the expense of its removal.  Often times we're able to pay the client for the opportunity to work because we can extract enough value out of the equipment to exceed the expense of removing it.  After removing your equipment we'll recover your space by bringing it back to bare walls and concrete (aka "white box").

We do everything and pay you for it.  Iron Flag is an all-in-one solution and takes care of the entire process of removing your data center - from logistics, to removal, to white boxing, to shipping equipment off site.

FAQs

While decommissioning data centers is one of our specialties, our services are not limited to just these facilities. We serve all sorts of different industries including telecom, hospitals, IT, and treatment plants. As long as there is electrical infrastructure, your facility is an asset to us.
No, Iron Flag is unique in that we pay you for your equipment before we even break ground. This allows you to be certain of the revenue it will bring, and also allows you to find room in your budget, as this will not count as an expense.
We've decommissioned over 50 sites, including several fortune 500 companies.
We typically service the United States and Canada, but will sometimes consider projects in Europe and other parts of the world.
Although we typically are able to offer payment to decom, ultimately we need to extract more value than we invest in order to be profitable. If the cost of the assets inside the facility is not able to fully cover the expenses, we are still able to offset the cost of the project from what we recover.
We're able to serve any size facility from a small 5,000 ft² server room to a 500,000+ ft² corporate center.
Every job is different and depends on the size of the job and the equipment inside of it. The best way to find out is to fill out the "What Are My Assets Worth" form above to begin the conversation.
No problem! We are able to arrange for the removal of just specific equipment. Another division of our business is purchasing generators, so if this applies to you, please visit the "generators" page in the nav above.
